K and I are spoiled. And when I say spoiled, what I really mean is that we are both lucky enough to have parents that send us packages full of Halloween treats! When I arrived home on Thursday afternoon after a day of subbing, I discovered K’s mom had sent us a package with all sorts of goodies. Of course I took a picture of it all to post on here (see below). Later that night I went to put something in the microwave and found a bag of peanut butter cookies in there. I immediately recognized them as Blackbird Baking Company’s cookies and was so excited I ate mine right then and there- it was delicious! As I said, we are very lucky to have such a thoughtful mother/mother-in-law.
While I was in Lakewood, K bought Levi some Halloween-themed dog treats so even Levi is getting into the fall season spirit. The last picture up there shows me about to eat the most tasty caramel apple ever. I bought it at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and it was so gigantic that K and I cut it in half and shared it. The apple had a layer of caramel, a layer of white chocolate and was topped off with crushed oreos!
The weather in here is starting to cool off and feel a bit more fall-like. K and I had a party on Friday night complete with a mini-keg! We had no clue how many people would show up- we invited pretty much everyone we know here. A lot of the people we invited ended up coming and it was a lot of fun. There is another couple from Ohio who we met through K’s old roommate and we got invited to their house for another party on Saturday night! Today we are pretty pooped from all our partying so we have been taking it easy and trying to clean up the house. We might go to a haunted house tonight!!
